About Elizabeth


Elizabeth (also known as Lizzie) has been playing the flute and piano from an early age and has a wealth of experience in teaching, performing and accompanying. She graduated from the University of Surrey in 2007 with an Honours degree in music, having specialised in performance. Since leaving University, Lizzie has completed ABRSM diplomas in flute performance, and teaching in which she gained a distinction.

Lizzie has experience teaching each of the ABRSM grades, as well as both the ABRSM Performance and Teaching diplomas. She has experience working with all ages, and in particular with individuals who have Special Needs. She has an Enhanced CRB Disclosure and is an ISM Approved Private Teacher. Lizzie has also tutored a number of students who, under her instruction, have gained music scholarships to prestigious schools, as well as entry to the National Children's Orchestra of Great Britain and the Royal College of Music Junior Department.

Each student has an individual learning style, and Lizzie's encouraging and inspiring approach to teaching allows her students to flourish and excel. Above all, Lizzie's aim is for each and every one of her students to realise their full potential, and to enjoy making music!
